Administrative Structure

How the Centre is governed

ICRIDEV is governed by three organs: an Administrative Council headed by the Moderator of the PCC, who is the proprietor; the administrative staff, headed by the Executive Director; and the senior and auxiliary staff.

These representatives offer a fair representation of believers across the country. Through their networks, the Centre gains access to religious communities nationwide.

Staff

Roles and Responsibilities

Executive Director

The vote holder of ICRIDEV, responsible for general administration and management of all its resources.

  • Approves payments, purchase authorisations and financial transactions, ensuring compliance with staff rules and PCC Finance Orders.
  • Provides administrative and financial oversight of the Centre’s programmes and personnel.
  • Leads the formation of innovative and mutually beneficial partnerships, including resource mobilisation for new or additional funds.
  • Ensures the policies and regulations of ICRIDEV comply with the Constitution of the PCC and with national law.
  • Fosters innovation in ICRIDEV products and services, and facilitates learning, documentation and evidence-based knowledge development.
  • Increases the visibility of ICRIDEV through communication and public relations.
  • Ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the Centre’s activities.
  • Works with coordinators to produce an annual programme and an annual report.
  • Recruits volunteers or temporary workers as need arises.
  • Proposes, develops and implements new programmes and projects upon approval of the Administrative Council.
  • Represents ICRIDEV at relevant networks, workshops, seminars and policy events.
  • Is appointed by the Staffing Committee of the PCC, on the recommendation of the Administrative Council of ICRIDEV.

Coordinator in charge of Research

Oversees all aspects of research, academic and development efforts, including planning, budgeting and training.

  • Initiates and oversees research work, recruits researchers and establishes partnerships with universities and other institutions.
  • Produces high-quality reports, papers and articles of publishable standard.
  • Works independently on several research and policy projects simultaneously.
  • Analyses quantitative data using robust methods and publishes findings.
  • Reviews and analyses academic literature using methodical and replicable search strategies.
  • Identifies new topics and obtains funding for proposals from academic, private and public sector funders.
  • Presents papers to policy-makers, academics, the media and other audiences.
  • Undertakes continuous personal and professional development.
  • Furnishes the Board with regular progress reports and suggests new relationships with potential donors.
  • Manages funds and grants allocated to the unit, and the workforce of the unit.

Coordinator in charge of Development

Assists the Executive Director in accomplishing the Centre’s mission and vision through the academic and development work of the Centre.

  • Develops the curriculum of the academic department and ensures strict follow-up.
  • Follows up on curriculum implementation, assessment, professional development and admission of students, and proposes the recruitment of lecturers and other staff.
  • Works with academic staff to manage online implementation and coordinate technology needs.
  • Plans and presides over meetings, and runs orientations, trainings and workshops.
  • Coordinates with other academic staff in sharing faculty, educational and structural ideas.
  • Provides training to faculty on current instructional technology and technique.
  • Develops educational process policies to meet curriculum goals.
  • Orders and stocks books and other supplies as needed.

Finance Officer

The vote controller of the Centre.

  • Keeps all financial records.
  • Makes all payments once duly authorised by the competent authority.
  • Prepares accounts for audit.
  • Prepares financial reports as requested.
  • Works in collaboration with the Executive Director.

Programme Officer

Oversees the development of ICRIDEV programmes, including staff development.

  • Enforces the mission and objectives of ICRIDEV through its programmes and activities.
  • Coordinates the development of annual plans and budgets in line with the planning cycle.
  • Conducts programme reviews, prepares management reports, and troubleshoots programme challenges.
  • Builds and maintains partnerships with non-profits, agencies and community organisations to expand resources and raise funding.
  • Keeps the hierarchy informed about programme developments through reports.
  • Ensures information is shared between ICRIDEV and other networks.
  • Provides administrative and logistical support to the formulation and management of programmes.
  • Prepares work plans, budgets and proposals, and makes travel arrangements for the programme team.
  • Prepares public information materials, briefing packets and presentations.
  • Facilitates knowledge building and knowledge sharing.
  • Reports directly to the Executive Director.

Project Officer

Works across all units of ICRIDEV on the Centre’s projects.

  • Proposes and writes projects for the Centre that are contextual and faith-friendly.
  • Works closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to ensure the success of projects.
  • Develops the budget for each project.
  • Manages and facilitates the flow of essential information.
  • Writes reports and makes presentations on projects.
  • Manages the project schedule and reports any delays.
  • Schedules and plans meetings, arranging venue, technology and refreshments.

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Works across all units of ICRIDEV.

  • Develops and strengthens monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
  • Monitors project activities, expenditure and progress towards outputs.
  • Recommends improvements to the logical framework.
  • Develops monitoring and impact indicators.
  • Monitors the sustainability of results and provides feedback on strategy and activities.
  • Suggests strategies for improving efficiency and effectiveness, identifying bottlenecks and developing plans to eliminate them.
  • Reports on all project activities and provides information and statistics for quarterly and annual reports.
  • Assists personnel with monitoring and evaluation tools and supports them in their use.
